As you well know, a woman's life is filled with ever-changing and at times turbulent events ranging from puberty to childbirth and finally menopause. When puberty hits, we often find a young girl sometimes scared by the complex emotional and physical changes that occurs, with their mothers usually providing reassurance but at times overwhelmed and concerned by some of these changes. This is when we may encounter heavy and irregular bleeding or even painful menses that interfere with school or sports activities.
If pregnancy occurs, then we become excited by the prospects of expecting a newborn, as well as motherhood. This is a time filled with complex hormonal and physical changes that some expectant may take in stride while others may be faced with fear and uncertainty.
Finally, when you thought you were done experiencing the hormonal roller-coasters earlier in life, then comes menopause which signals the loss of reproductive function. As some of you know, this does not go unnoticed and may be a source of disruption not only in your daily lives, but also at your job or in your relationships.
